Happy Friday everyone! Ready for another French Film Friday?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the words of Rihanna, here\u2019s to the freakin\u2019 weekend! To help you get in the weekender zone<\/strong>, we\u2019ll be bringing you a selection of French films that we love, hate, or think you should watch just to say you\u2019ve watched them.<\/p>\n

Today I raise a glass to the\u00a0gorgeous and talented\u00a0Audrey Tautou<\/strong>, whose surname I can’t pronouce but whose work is never short\u00a0of fantastic (seriously, is her surname pronounced tatoo? Tatow? Let me know).<\/p>\n

Now, you’ll notice there are a few films that didn’t make this list, so before you pull out your pitchfork and assemble the townspeople, let me explain.<\/p>\n

As I’ve said previously, ‘Am\u00e9lie<\/a><\/em>\u2019 is a great film but is incredibly overexposed<\/strong>, so I wouldn’t be doing anyone any favours by including it. ‘L’Auberge espagnole<\/a><\/em>\u2019 (‘The Spanish Apartment’) falls into the same category as ‘Am\u00e9lie<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n

‘Un long dimanche de fian\u00e7ailles<\/a><\/em>\u2019 (‘A Very Long Engagement’) is one of her greatest roles, but I’ve already brought it up in a previous article<\/a>. And ‘The Da Vinci Code<\/a>\u2019 starred Tom Hanks, who I generally can’t stand, so while Audrey’s performance was superb<\/strong> the film was marred by his presence.<\/p>\n
